The recruiting news for the Badgers turned out to be bad news on Thursday night when they learned that Jean-Pierre (J.P) Tokoto picked North Carolina over Wisconsin.At the announcement of his commitment on Thursday Tokoto said that the Badgers were his second choice, and he was interested in staying close to home. But he was impressed with North Carolina from the start, and saw the move as a new "adventure."
This season the junior forward is averaging over 20 points a game, and ten rebounds for Menominee Falls. Making Tokoto one of the top recruits in the country according to many recruiting sites, and scouts.
Tokoto also turned down Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky, Marquette, and Maryland after choosing to become a Tar Heel.
